Havøysund Fishing Association was established the 22nd of December 2014, by the local fishing-camps in the area and is the main organizer for Scandinavian Halibut Festival.

 

''The goal of the association is to promote and coordinate members' interests within sea fishing, ensure sustainable fishing activities in the local waters through joint attitudes, rules, catch-and-release and monitoring.

The Association wants to increased knowledge and understanding of the angling business, be the industry's official organ and mouthpiece for local authorities as well as the public.''
