Havøysund Fishing Association

 

Havøysund Fishing Association was established the 22nd of December 2014, through a collaboration by the local fishing-camps, and is the main organizer for Scandinavian Halibut Festival.

 

''The goal of the association is to promote and coordinate members' interests within sea fishing, ensure sustainable fishing activities in the local waters through joint attitudes, rules, catch-and-release and monitoring.

The Association wants to provide better knowledge and understanding of the angling business, be the industry's official organ and mouthpiece for local authorities as well as the public.''

 

Our main goal is to create a buzz locally, and educate on the art of catch and release.

 

One of our goals is to build a boat ramp which is meant to be used by everyone. We hope to accomplish this in somewtime between 2017-2018
